How ROAMVUE handles your data.
Effective 2026-06-01
We built ROAMVUE to ship with the minimum data we need to ship a brand website. This page lists exactly what we collect, why, and how to ask us to delete it.
1. Who we are
ROAMVUE is a US-based brand. Our site is operated at www.roamvue.com from servers managed by Vercel Inc. and data processors we list in Section 7. For the purposes of this policy, the "data controller" is ROAMVUE.
Contact: privacy@roamvue.com
2. What we collect, and why
We collect the minimum data we need to do four things, and nothing more:
- Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter. Used to send product updates, ride-related articles, and the occasional Amazon discount code. We never sell or rent your email.
- Account data (optional) — when you create an ROAMVUE account, we store your name (or Google profile name), email, and a wishlist of product slugs you save. You can delete the account at any time from your profile page.
- Support form submissions — name, email, optional order number, free-text message. Used to reply to your question, retained for 24 months, then deleted.
- Aggregate analytics — page views, country, referrer, browser family, via Plausible Analytics (cookieless, no personal data). We use this to fix the things that are breaking and to know which products people actually look at.
3. Cookies and local storage
We do not set marketing or advertising cookies. We do set:
- One functional cookie — if you create an account, a session cookie stores a secure token so you stay signed in. It expires when you sign out.
- localStorage for your newsletter subscription status (so we do not show the form a second time after you have subscribed) and for your shopping preferences (locale, last-viewed product).
See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
4. Purchases
We do not sell products on this site. Every "Buy on Amazon" button takes you to an Amazon storefront owned and operated by Amazon.com, Inc. Amazon has its own privacy practices; please review them at amazon.com/privacy.
We never see your payment card, billing address, or shipping address — those go directly to Amazon.
5. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, equivalent)
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you — email us and we will respond within 30 days.
- Delete your data — newsletter, account, or support history — without giving a reason.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking the link in any email, or by emailing us directly.
- Object to processing for direct marketing — every newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
- Data portability — we will export your data as JSON or CSV on request.
6. Children
Our site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted data, email privacy@roamvue.com and we will delete it within 7 days.
7. Data processors we use
We share the minimum data required with the following processors:
- Vercel Inc. — site hosting and edge compute (privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy).
- Resend — transactional and newsletter email delivery (resend.com/legal/privacy-notice).
- NextAuth via Vercel Postgres — account storage for users who choose to create an ROAMVUE account.
- Plausible Analytics — cookieless aggregate analytics (plausible.io/data-policy).
We have data processing agreements with each processor where required by GDPR Article 28.
8. International transfers
Some processors may store data in the US, EU, or other jurisdictions. Where we transfer personal data outside your home jurisdiction we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. How long we keep data
- Newsletter email — until you unsubscribe.
- Account data — until you delete your account.
- Support form submissions — 24 months from submission.
- Server access logs — 30 days, then aggregated.
- Backups — 90 days rolling, then deleted.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post any material change on this page and bump the effective date at the top. For substantial changes (new categories of data, new processors) we will email newsletter subscribers at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
11. Contact and complaints
Email privacy@roamvue.com with questions. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Questions?
Email legal@roamvue.com and we will respond within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
